Forget monotony. Nolan Pelletier loves a lot of things, and if choosing is giving up, he's decided to keep it all to draw you into his maximalist, colorful and mystical world. A passionate collector of old books, retro advertising and printed paper of all kinds, he draws his inspiration from many directions. Historical references, architecture, mythological creatures, typography, the Victorian era and art deco, flora and fauna all combine to form a psychedelic, timeless and turbulent effervescence. His illustrations capture an artisanal rendering, although he uses virtual brushes and digitized textures to reproduce those material effects he loves so much. A well-honed method that enables him to offer us an infinite patchwork of visual stimuli, with black lines filled with acid colors. In fact, he's very successful at spreading his instantly recognizable vision: his illustrations can be found on posters, the covers of iconic books and newspapers, and even on the catwalks, on clothes and accessories. As you can see, with Nolan Pelletier, too much is never enough.

Alors, pile ou face aujourd’hui ? Pardonne-nous la question de but en blanc ami Gémeaux, mais il est plus facile de deviner l’âge de Pharrell Williams que de savoir de quel pied tu te lèves le matin. Car ça passe du simple au double, et très vite. La souplesse doit être ta plus grande force tant les grands écarts d’humeur que tu offres à ton entourage sont spectaculaires. Lunatique serait le terme. Mais te sachant grand amateur de communication, un unique mot serait réducteur. Alors disons que tu es cette personne qui pourrait venir en blanc au mariage d’un pote, celle qui, durant un vernissage au musée, parle fort, connaît tout le monde et explique à qui veut l’entendre sa libre interprétation des oeuvres. Oui tu as inspiré l’artiste, non tu n’aurais pas fait comme ça et sans doute mieux. S’il serait facile de te trouver superficiel, tu es en réalité très curieux. Et personne ne te dira ici que c’est un vilain défaut. Et puis, ça peut être rigolo de voir tes petits shows du quotidien : ok, tu vas au musée pour qu’on te remarque, mais tu sais surtout amuser la galerie.
