L'ARTISTE

There's a lot to see in Raman Djafari's drawings. Large, gelatinous characters, impossible constructions, enchanting colors and numerous scattered elements wafting in the wind tangle and crack the ground of reality. The layers are superimposed, each adding a piece of history, a new problem and a mess of feelings. Soon the whole house collapses, and the open space lets you see the German's dreams. Neither truly figurative nor totally abstract, the drawings by the Berliner, who is also an animator, open the door to a tender surrealism of poetic trance and cuddly fantasy. As intriguing in form as they are in content, Raman Djafari's illustrations are an unforgettable experience.
