Born in 1987, Amélie Fontaine enters the Arts Décoratifs de Paris where she learns engraving and silkscreen printing after studying graphic design. Her work takes the form of a compulsive inventory: eggs, flutes, cheese, cat games, chip boats, watermelons, insects, reefs, jellyfish... Everything goes through it. Sometimes black and white pencils, jungles with felt pens, sometimes abandoned architectural spaces but full of patterns. Always worked, singular, fine, the motif dresses his drawings and makes them unique. Amélie Fontaine is present everywhere, both in the adult and children's press(Le Monde, Libération, Feuilleton, NY Times, Télérama, Influencia, Revue Citrus, Je Bouquine, Dada), and in children's literature. She will be at the Portuguese Biennial Ilustrarte until September 2nd.
