Jocelyn Charles - Monsters
This chic 21st century has placed precious technological tools in our hands. And when they allow us to make the narrative of an illustration even more powerful, then we don't sulk in our pleasure. The evolving collection here will bring together risographies that come to life as soon as you point them at them with your latest-generation cell phone. How is this possible? Thanks to a QR code of unrivalled discretion hidden inside each poster. A great way to impress the crowd of friends who come to visit you.

An alumnus of the École Estienne and the École des Gobelins, Jocelyn Charles has a knack for animation. The Weekend and L'Impératrice are among those who can thank him for the clips he made for them. But he has not forgotten illustration, which he uses in all kinds of techniques, from felt-tip to pure digital. In his two favourite disciplines, we find the same obsessions with monstrous humanity, the beauty of anomaly and sublimating deformation. For the Parisian, horror and ugliness are always imbued with a certain delicacy, provided by the elegance of his drawing. Straightforward colors and simple strokes feed an aesthetic as striking as it is touching. Welcome to the in-between.
