Born in La Rochelle, Julie Guillem graduated in 2015 from the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (ENSAD), in the printed image section. She moves to Vienna, Austria, and continues to study graphic design at the School of Applied Arts. She returned to Paris to concentrate on her illustrations, working for the foreign (Austrian) and French press, including Le Monde. The artist adds as little as possible, which projects a rare effectiveness to her creations. She loves colors, engraving, silkscreening and children. It's only natural that she has already produced three books, L'Atlas des Nuages and Un petit monde with Éditions Actes Sud Junior and J'ai suivi un nuage with Ecole des Loisirs.
