Charlotte Bresler - Hyper BD

Charlotte Bresler's drawings are alive, we swear. In a patchwork of colors ranging from deep black to the sweetest pink, a myriad of characters swarm across the page. Here, a dolphin and a piece of chewing gum strike up a conversation. Further on, a bird and a house seem to have known each other for a long time. These malleable beings are joined by unidentified shapes, auroras borealis and countless suns, all contributing to the enchantment concocted by the Strasbourg-based artist. As if nothing had happened, a wonderful humility is created, somewhere between the first Disney short films and the drawings in the margins of a teenager's diary: a singular beauty that strikes immediately, while keeping something in store for closer observation.
