THE ARTIST

There's no shame in having an imaginary friend. Floor van het Nederend makes no secret of it. It's been a long time since this musician and skater met Malvin, at the turn of a blank page. Since then, it's been love at first sight, with the cat becoming a pretext for the Dutch illustrator to imagine ever more breathtaking settings for the adventures of his beloved feline. The Amstelloden artist's clear line takes this black-and-white friend from the aridity of sub-Saharan deserts to the paradisiacal beaches of some lost island.
