CANCER

If you're Cancer, we're going to need to talk for a minute. Ok, family is important and yes, without it you wouldn't be here. Just like everyone else. But you've decided to go all out with your romantic side. You're an excessive blue flower, and your life's dream is Little House on the Prairiewith everyone you love under the same roof. Honestly, what an idea. It's probably your childlike soul talking, the one that idealizes summer vacations without thinking about traffic jams on the A12 and fantasizes about a perfect family symbiosis around Christmas dinner. In a way, you have to realize that this is a questionable choice, because at first glance you're hard to pin down, almost mysterious. You hide your game well so as not to show too quickly that you're afraid of abandonment like no one else. And when it's pointed out to you, you're offended. Susceptible, Cancer. And in constant need of attention. And anxious. And nostalgic. That's the portrait of an 8-year-old on Prozac. You'll have to think about growing up a bit, because we're almost jealous that you're always the darling.

THE ARTIST

Forget monotony. Nolan Pelletier loves a lot of things, and if choosing is giving up, he's decided to keep it all to draw you into his maximalist, colorful and mystical world. A passionate collector of old books, retro advertising and printed paper of all kinds, he draws his inspiration from many directions. Historical references, architecture, mythological creatures, typography, the Victorian era and art deco, flora and fauna all combine to form a psychedelic, timeless and turbulent effervescence. His illustrations capture an artisanal rendering, although he uses virtual brushes and digitized textures to reproduce those material effects he loves so much. A well-honed method that enables him to offer us an infinite patchwork of visual stimuli, with black lines filled with acid colors. In fact, he's very successful at spreading his instantly recognizable vision: his illustrations can be found on posters, the covers of iconic books and newspapers, and even on the catwalks, on clothes and accessories. As you can see, with Nolan Pelletier, too much is never enough.
