Simon Bailly - The subway

Simon Bailly is the product of decades of Franco-Belgian comics and children's books. He is undoubtedly also a cousin of underground comics à la Daniel Clowes. He must also share some chromosomes with the great cinema poster artists. In short, it seems that this native of Lyon is the product of an impeccable lineage. It is therefore no surprise that he excels in the art of clear lines and illustrated humor, that he masters the description of everyday life and the creation of melancholic atmospheres, and that he shines through the balance of his compositions and his ability to manipulate our gaze. One might say that's a lot for one man, but the author of Utopia (published by L'Agrume) and Scienceflix (published by La Martinière Jeunesse with Hamza Garrush and Kévin Razy) doesn't seem to mind having so many talents.
