Charlotte Bresler's drawings come alive, we swear. In a patchwork of colors ranging from deep black to candy pink, a myriad of characters swarm across the page. Here, a dolphin and a piece of chewing gum strike up a conversation. Further on, a bird and a house seem to have known each other for a long time. To these malleable beings are added unidentified shapes, auroras too boreal or suns too numerous, all adding to the enchantment concocted by the Strasbourg artist. As if nothing had happened, a humble marvel is created, wedged somewhere between the first and the second.
