Mount Sainte-Victoire (Paul Cézanne) - Mayumi Otero d'Icinori
Because illustration has its place in museums, the Musée d'Orsay and KIBLIND are offering a collection of exclusive posters printed in risography by KIBLIND Atelier.
With the aim of initiating a timeless dialogue between artists of yesterday and today, French and international illustrators Manon Diemer, Mayumi Otero (Icinori), María Medem, Karlotta Freier, María Jesús Contreras and Jisu Choi were invited to reinterpret masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay collections in the form of comic stories.
" Early in the morning, the washermen of Sainte-Victoire pick of lavender. Striding along the fragrant paths, they go down to the village, hoping to sell their precious harvest. "Mayumi Otero

Mayumi Otero didn't wait until after her studies at HEAR in Strasbourg to shine, founding, alongside Raphaël Urwiller, the Icinori studio/duo/publishing house at the turn of the 2010s. Their drawings, with their precise lines and vibrant poetry, inspired by both popular imagery and Japanese prints, have won over Louis Vuitton and Actes Sud publishing houses, as well as the New York Times.
